Monday’s Moments…

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.  Do everything in love.”  1st Cor. 16:13-14

Yesterday in worship this verse helped us with our perspective on how to act and react when we are confronted with evil, or people who may want to challenge our beliefs or God’s provision for us.  We are truly living in challenging times, but the past events of last week including Charlie Kirk’s death has awaken folks to their spiritual needs… make the most of every opportunity the Lord brings you way this week, and do so with loving kindness.

This weekend is the Fall Festival here in Buckner, join us at the annex or cottage front yard as we cheer for our Preschool and Youth as they march in the Parade Saturday morning… it will be a fun time for all!

This Sunday – There will be a BBQ Dinner in the Park after worship as part of the sentinel fall festival conclusion for all churches and our community.  This meal has been graciously donated and includes Bates City BBQ and all the fixings.  Bring your own chair, appetite, and donations will be accepted.  Lunch will be served at 12:30pm along with musical entertainment.

The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Dinner and Auction is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 4th at Heart of God Fellowship.  Tickets will be available at the door.  Dinner begins at 5:00pm and the Auction begins at 6:00pm… come and enjoy this wonderful holiday time/meal as we raise funds and awareness for our Mayor’s Christmas Tree Family Assistance this year.
